Worldwide leader in the automotive sector is looking for a

Environment health & safety supervisor

Reporting locally to the EH&S management representative and the GM, the main
responsibilities of the candidate will be:

ATo manage, supervise and lead all plant EH&S activities including the planning and conduct of drills and training exercises to maintain and its operational readiness.
To supervise the establishment/maintenance of an SOP to ensure that common procedures are followed.
To develop, maintain and improve EH&S policies, procedures, guidelines and advisory bulletins ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulatory and industry guidance.
To carry out investigations into accidents, ill health, dangerous occurrences and near miss incidents and ensure that appropriate reporting action is taken to prevent future recurrence.
To actively promote and carry out regular on site EH&S inspections of operational
activities and workplaces.
Make sure that repair & maintenance contractors / vendors are in compliance with legal insurance requirements before conducting any task inside plant.
To work closely with the plant senior management team on the safety aspects of all the operations and external services provided such as food catering, cleaning, pest
management, waste management and technical maintenance.
To conduct risk assessment in all plant areas to ensure we continue to meet safety
requirement as well as EH&S training (induction and recycling) for the workforce and enforce EH&S rules and regulations.

Potentially successful candidates must be environment health & safety diploma holders (minimum Bac+5) with a strong safety, health and environmental experience, gained from within a multinational or national corporate business in the industry.

English is a must as the yazaki corporate language is English.
