The United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO)
invites applications for the posts of:
Fuel invoice assistant –Database- VA#MIN-09-L-06
Travel Assistant - VA#MIN-09-L-007
All positions are located in Laâyoune, Western Sahara, and require
good English language skills.
Fuel invoice assistant –Database (GL-4)
Responsibilities :
Coordinate and monitor petroleum /oil / lubricants (POL) product
invoices to ensure correct billing, recording, payment, and
compliance to contracts and budgets, for POL products received by
the MINURSO mission. Receive POL invoices from various users and
suppliers, check for accuracy and adherence to contract, input
invoice data into sophisticated database system, and generate
numerous computerized analytical reports on POL usage, invoicing,
and payments. Coordinate with clients (vendors, users, supply R&I,
Procurement, finance) in ensuring the efficient and timely
procurement, contracting, receiving, recording, and payment for/of POL products. Maintain files and electronic databases on all aspects
of POL receipt, usage, and payment. Assist with budget forecasting.
Éducation :
High school diploma is essential. Post secondary education is an
advantage
Expérience :
Five years related experience in database operations, accounting,
and administration. Good experience using office software.
Experience in administration of fuel utilization is an advantage
Travel Assistant (GL-4)
Responsibilities :
Counsel staff members on queries relating to travel entitlements,
bookings, stopovers, and travel claims. Assist with solicitation of
bids for airline tickets through competitive process. Prepare
electronic travel authorizations. Maintain files and electronic
database on all aspects of MINURSO travel. Liaise with airlines
representatives and travel agents for bookings, ensuring that direct
routing and economic cal fare is utilized. Verify invoice prior to
payment. Arrange for the issuance of visas for staff. Calculate
airfares.
Education :
High school diploma is essential. Technical training in the travel
industry is a distinct advantage.
Experience :
Five years of relevant work experience. Experience in the travel
industry with knowledge of airline passenger tariffs and ticketing
rules is highly desirable. Experience with AMADEUS ticketing and
reservation system is an advantage.
